Business School

Business school subjects were founded in 1965. Its predecessor was former Department of Industrial Management Engineering of Shandong Institute of Building Materials, former Department of Economic Management of Jinan United University, former Shandong Material School and former Department of Civil Affairs Jinan Civil Affairs School Administration Department. In October 2001, the School of Management of Jinan University was established. In May 2003, the School of Economics of Jinan University was established. In 2004, the College of Tourism of Jinan University was established. In December 2009, the Tourism College was renamed the School of Hotel Management. In December 2015, the school revoked the School of Management, the School of Economics, and the School of Hotel Management and merged to form a business school.

The college has three major master's degree authorization points in applied economics, business management and management science and engineering, and two professional master's degree authorization points in logistics engineering and project management. There are 13 undergraduate programs in economics, finance, investment, international economics and trade, accounting, business administration, marketing, financial management, information management and information systems, e-commerce, project management, hotel management, and tourism management. National economics, management science and engineering are provincial-level key disciplines, economics is a provincial-level undergraduate specialty, finance, accounting, and hotel management are provincial-level predominant school engineering constructions, and accounting majors are Shandong Province's key supportive construction projects. Professional and won the key construction project of high-level applied specialty (group) in Shandong Province. There are nearly 5,000 undergraduate students, more than 100 full-time graduate students, and over 200 graduate students.

The College has 221 faculty and staff, 185 full-time teachers (25 professors, 80 associate professors), 86 doctoral teachers, and 6 doctoral supervisors. It has 1 teacher in Shandong Province, 5 professional and technical talents from Shandong Province, 5 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions, 3 high-end talent posts experts and 3 storage experts from Shandong think tanks, 4 members from Shandong Province’s theoretical talent “Hundred Talents Project”. The college attaches great importance to personnel training. Western economics is a national bilingual demonstration class, marketing management is a provincial-level exquisite course group, more than 10 teaching and research reform programs at or above the provincial or ministerial level, and more than 10 provincial or ministerial-level outstanding teaching achievement awards. It has established long-term and stable inter-collegiate partnerships with more than a dozen foreign universities, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan, and South Korea. We send dozens of key teachers to study abroad every year and carry out various forms of scientific research cooperation. We will work hard to promote the internationalization of professional construction. There will be an international economic and trade English teaching program, CMA experimental class and CFA experimental class.
